ARGENTINA
Buenos Aires. Team needed to paint and "freshen up" this Japanese congregation's building. The team would also be a great encouragement!
BOLIVIA
Candelaria. Work Team needed to build a small sanctuary for this congregation that currently meets under the large shade trees on their property.
Santa Cruz. Work team needed in Santa Cruz to add to and modify the second story of the parsonage so the first floor can be used for classrooms.
Cuiaba, Mato Grosso. (Located in West-Central Brazil - Dan and Hope Owsley live here) Four evangelism and construction teams needed for two projects. Ideally a 7-12 person team would serve for 7-14 days. Work includes: pouring cement for sidewalks around the church building, building a brick wall around the church property, painting the metal gate the surrounds the front of the church and metal window frames, installing the electrical system, installing basic plumbing, outreach in the neighborhood which includes many children.
Monte Santo, Bahia. (Located in Northeast Brazil.) Two teams needed to work on an elementary school sponsored by International Childcare Ministries. Work includes: encouragement for the school director and teachers, evangelism and new classroom construction. Ideally a 7-12 person team would serve for 10-14 days. Rev. Clancy Thompson, former missionary to Brazil, is available to accompany a team in order to help with logistics and provide translation.Santo Andre, Sao Paulo. (Santo Andre is a Satellite city of Sao Paulo) Two teams needed to construct a church building and put together evangelism efforts. Ideally a team of 7-12 people would serve for 7-14 days.
Rio de Janeiro. Two teams needed to evangelize and provide encouragement for the young church and church planter and also to make repairs on the church building. Ideally a team of 7-12 people would serve for 7-14 days.Cambodia. Work teams, medical teams, English camps, Sports Evangelism Teams and Vacation Bible School crews needed.
CHILE
Gran Comision, Santiago. Construction teams needed to work on the new building being built around the old church.
Coronel. Several teams needed needed to build a parsonage and sanctuary of concrete and wood.
COLOMBIA
Bogota. This church is training many future leaders and needs classroom space on the 3rd floor in order to accommodate their training. This project involves concrete work.
COSTA RICA
Urgent Need! OCTOBER 2007 - At least 6 churches are at risk of being closed by the government unless they make major repairs to meet building code safety issues. The churches include: Hatillo Dos, Peniel, Parceles, Tilaran, Coylo, San Carlos.
Each church needs help with the following:
- electrical system updates
- emergency lighting/emergency signs
- changes in doors
- a second stairwell leading to the upper level
Missionary's Patrick and April Barrett urge you to consider this project...time is of the essence!
Hatillo Dos. This church is striving to reach out to the community and meet the needs of their neighbors. Besides the necessary updates to meet present building codes, a VISA Team could also help make the second story more functional for Sunday School classrooms and enable the church to start a child care ministry in the future. This project can be arranged to fit with the skills of the team members and could also be combined with an outreach ministry to children and youth.
San Carlos. URGENT NEED! The FM Church in San Carlos is vibrant and growing. A recent VISA Team from the Gowanda, NY area shared the gospel with 120 children and had the opportunity to see 95 of them accept Jesus! Now, the church needs a place for all of these children! The church will need restoration and a second story added to the parsonage.
Peniel. This church is our FM "mother church" in Costa Rica and has sent out many who have planted churches in Alajuela. A team is needed to expand the classroom space at the Peniel Church.ECUADOR
South Quito FMC. Small team needed to finish the parsonage. Team should consist of carpenters and painters. The estimated cost of completion in $2500. The work project could be combined with an outreach ministry to children and youth.
A medical team could also be used in Quito, Esmeraldas or Guayaquil.
GHANA
Accra. Construction crew needed to help build a Women's Business Training College. Property and permits are there, but now they need the funding and the builders! This building will be 3 stories tall when finished.
INDIA
Teams needed to construct a new hostel for orphans of the December 2004 Tsunami and to paint and do finish work for the new hostels.
Medical Teams needed at Umri Hospital.
Leaders needed to help coordinate pastor's family retreats.
KENYA
Kericho. Team needed to finish the new sanctuary at the church and partition the current sanctuary into classrooms for Light & Life School. Light & Life School is an International Child Care sponsored school giving education to children who otherwise would never see the door of a classroom.
MEXICO
Baja, California. Teams needed to begin development of a 9-acre primitive campsite to accommodate tent campers during family camp and other conference activities. First project: kitchen and dining room building.
Light & Life Campground, Tecate. Tecate is less than 1 hour East of San Diego, California. Work Teams needed to build kitchen and restrooms on the 9 acre campground geared toward tent campers. This project would be ideal for youth or adult teams. Francisco I. Madero - Team needed to enlarge the parsonage. Torreon - Team needed to construct a parsonage. Second Church of Torreon - Team needed to help with church construction. Estacion Naranjo - Team needed for church construction. Guasave - Work team needed for church and parsonage. Hermosillo Getsemani - Team needed for church remodeling. Hermosillo Palabra de Vida - Contruction of a new church. Obregon - Contruction of a brand new church. Los Moches - Construction of a brand new church. Hermosillo Light & Life Bible Institute - Upkeep and remodeling projects. Ideal to serve between September and May due to the very hot and humid summers.MOZAMBIQUE
Inhaloi. Work teams needed to refurbish the hospital building, build a new kitchen, construct a pharmacy building and make repairs to the doctor's residence.
NIGERIA
Lagos - Apapa FMC. Work teams needed to help fix the flooding problem in the building. Currently, the church floods each time it rains and most Sundays the members spend hours removing water from the building before worship.
PANAMA
Panama City. Work teams needed to add additional classrooms, bathrooms and a more adequate kitchen area for the school that meets in the building.
Tocumen. A team is needed for the Tocumen Panama FMC. This is the only FM church in Panama. The team's task would be to continue the construction of the school on the church property. There are currently 3 classrooms, which are fully used, and they would like to build 3 more. These 3 new classrooms will be the same size as the existing 3 and will simply continue in the line of the first 3. Each classroom is about 12 feet by 14 feet, built out of concrete block with steel rafters and a tin roof. This is a great "small" project for a team with at least one block layer.PARAGUAY
Asuncion (Santo Domingo). Several teams of experienced laborers needed to build a large sanctuary to seat around 1000 people.
Incarnacion. Several teams needed to remove the wood and steel from their current church building and pour a concrete slab roof, then build a new sanctuary on the second floor.PERU
Tacna. The Tacna Church building is nearing completion! The congregation requests the presence of a VISA Work Team to help finish up some of the remaining details incuding the tin roof, windows, doors, floor, electrical and plumbing work.
PHILIPPINES
Bancasi. Work team needed to cover the court in the conference grounds.
Light and Life Bible College. Team needed to build a roof over the top deck of the Educational Building. Teams needed to conduct VBS programs and present children's ministry seminars. Team needed to organize and conduct a retreat for pastoral families. Evangelistic Sports Teams (especially basketball) needed to minister to street children in Davao and Butuan City.
PORTUGAL
Lisbon. Teams needed for outreach, prayer ministry and children's ministry.
ROMANIA
Arad. Construction/maintenance teams needed in the Osza Children's Homes. Skilled laborers required.
SPAIN
Madrid. Teams needed to do evangelistic outreach and youth ministry.
THAILAND
Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Rayong. Teams needed to conduct English Camps during the months of June, July and August.
Zionland Campground. Construction Teams needed to do repair and fix-up projects. Ideal for teams to serve between June and February.UGANDA.
4 FM churches have been planted in SE Uganda since early 2001. Initially, these churches operated out of rented properties. Pastor Manasseh Masiza, a Kenyan FM missionary, has undertaken a building plan for the Jinja fellowship which will result in a church building, parsonage and pre-school. Contruction teams and funds are needed for building materials to finish these projects. The work is basic: mixing cement by hand and laying bricks and mortar as well as tiling the roofs. VBS activities with the children are also valued. Cost per team member will be between $2500 and $3000.
URUGUAY
Montevideo. Construction Team needed to lay block at the seminary.
VENEZUELA
Caracas. This FM Church is new and recently bought hillside property. Their main need is a retaining wall as this wall will increase their usable property by 35%.
ZIMBABWE
